Rentals
The Skate Shop rents hockey and speed skates for use within the Olympic Oval.
The skate shop is open for in-person sales and service by appointment from Monday to Friday. Curb-side pick-up and drop-off is also available. Contact us for an appointment.

Helmets Rule! Helmets are mandatory for public skating. Skaters who do not have their helmets can rent one from the Olympic Oval Skate Shop for $2.50. Protect your brain, skate smart!
What kind of skates do you offer?
Hockey Skates
Hockey Skates are the most common type of rental at the Olympic Oval. Our skates have unmatched durability, well-maintained edges and have lasting comfort. We have over 500 pairs of skates available to rent.
Speed Skates
Would you like to try something a little different? Speed skates are a fun alternative to hockey skates and require getting-used-to but can be quite enjoyable on the ice.
Skate Sizes
Available sizes range from children's 8 to adult 12. Skates are rented on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that a piece of ID is required when renting equipment. Skates and helmets must be returned after each use, and your ID is then returned to you.
I don't have my own pair of skates — but the Skate Shop has every size imaginable — so it is super easy to arrive, grab a pair of skates and go for a skate!
